I can now share this book I created for my friend, Brenda. As it was a Christmas gift I had to wait until the delivery was made. I had a lot of fun putting together these pages. Using a prepackaged kit of paper, stickers and embellishments, I only had to dig into my own stash of scrapbooking paper a few times. The word "Believe" came already cut out on chipboard so it was just a matter of covering the letters and decorating. There are many other words available so this may be another project I may want to try.

Scrapbooking Week-end

 
I recently attended a week-end of scrapbooking. These week-ends are always fun and you finally have time to finish some projects. I wanted to try something different and so using chipboard, I made this picture/stand for our guest room. I am able to change the 5x7 photo as the seasons change here at the lake. I really enjoyed making this and hope to make some more chipboard items. Now I just need to find the time.....

Wedding Card

This is the wedding card I made for the wedding we attended yesterday. I can't remember where I got the heart shape fasteners but the worked great here. I printed a verse off the computer for the inside.

Cricut Machine

I got spoiled yesterday when Hubby felt generous and bought me a new Cricut Machine. This is an awesome cutting tool for paper and vinyl, especially fun for card making and scrapbooking. There are many cartridges or programs you can purchase for it. You are able to increase the size of the shapes and letters, change the style and so on. Really, it is a mini computer. Mine will hold 12 x12 or 12x24 sheets of paper so large items can also be cut. I see cartridges are much cheaper on ebay rather than buying them here locally. Only one cartridge came with the computer. Now I just have to find the time to actually scrapbook and do some more cardmaking. Anybody want to come play with me??

Scrapbooking

I attended a scrapbooking retreat recently and had fun catching up with some scrapbooking pages, and also making some more cards. One of my projects was making the Valentine box. I plan to make a few more of these to hand out on Sunday. I tried some new techniques in scrapbooking also using cardboard cut-outs as in the word "Fall". I traced them onto the paper, cut out the paper and glued to the letters. Then I sponged the edges with brown ink. I love the effect. Also took a piece of 12x12 paper and cut leaves out of it since I could not purchase leaves by themselves. A bit tedious but the outcome looked good. Still have to finish the journalling as I usually journal on the computer. Can't wait to get my craft room up and running. Hubby is already worried he will never see me again!
